Team WNBA extend their mastery over Team USA, albeit in their short history so far.
The WNBA All-Stars pulled off a 117-109 win over Team USA in the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game Sunday (PHL) in Phoenix, extending their series lead to 2-0.
For the 20th WNBA All-Star Game, the league brought back the WNBA vs. Team USA format, first done in 2021 ahead for the Olympics in Tokyo. And just like in 2021, it was the WNBA All-Stars that came away with the victory.
Also just like in 2021, Dallas Wings All-Star Arike Ogunbowale led her team to victory, this time scoring a WNBA All-Star record of 34 points to claim MVP honors.
With all of her scoring coming from the second half, Arike Ogunbowale earns the 2024 @ATT #WNBAAllStar MVP honors while breaking the record for most points in the event 🏆
