Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers
Davis powered the Lakers to a 3-0 week while averaging 38.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.0 blocks in victories over the Bulls, Wolves and Rockets. In the win in Houston, Davis scored 40 points, becoming the first Lakers player since Shaquille O’Neal to score 40+ points while shooting at least 75% from the field. The big man is averaging 26.6 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 blocks for the Lakers, who are currently No. 7 in the West at 40-38.
Mikal Bridges, Brooklyn Nets
Bridges led the Nets to an undefeated 3-0 week with averages of 33 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.3 steals in wins against the Rockets, Hawks and Jazz. He recorded his third-career 40-point game (all since being traded to the Nets) in the win over Atlanta, scoring 42 points. For the season, Bridges is averaging career-highs in points (20.2), rebounds (4.4) and assists (3.3). The Nets are currently No. 6 in the East at 43-35.
