Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis has been upgraded to probable for Wednesday's (PHT) game against the Brooklyn Nets, according to the team’s latest injury report.
Davis has been sidelined since Dec. 17 after spraining a ligament in his left knee in the third quarter of the Lakers’ 110-92 road loss to the Timberwolves.
The Lakers are 7-10 without Davis in the lineup and hopeful his return can take some of the pressure off superstar LeBron James, who continues to carry a heavy workload during his 19th NBA season. Davis is averaging 23.3 points this season, the fourth-lowest of his career, along with 9.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
The Lakers (23-24) are currently the 8th seed in the West standings.
