Napheesa Collier and the league-leading Minnesota Lynx kept rolling on a night when the Phoenix Mercury stayed unbeaten — and the Golden State Valkyries finally got on the board.

LYNX, MERCURY STAY SPOTLESS, VALKYRIES EARN WNBA BREAKTHTROUGH

  • Minnesota Lynx (3-0) def. Dallas Wings (0-3), 85-81:  Reigning Defensive Player of the Year Napheesa Collier continued to wreak havoc, dropping 28 points for her third straight game scoring 25 markers or more to extend the Lynx’s unbeaten start at expense of Paige Bueckers and the Wings.

  • Still Unscathed: Minnesota scored their second win in the last five days over Dallas, racing to their first 3-0 start since 2017.

Meanwhile, Bueckers recorded her first ever WNBA double-double thanks to a 12-point, 10-assist night but the Wings absorbed their third straight loss.

  • Phoenix Mercury (2-0) def. LA Sparks (1-2), 89-86: Satou Sabally and Alyssa Thomas joined forces to help the Mercury fend off a late Sparks rally for back-to-back wins to start the season.

Sun-kissed Duo: Sabally topscored Phoenix with 25 points while Thomas tallied 19 markers, seven assists, and five rebounds. The Mercury joined the Lynx (3-0) and defending champions New York Liberty (1-0) as the only unbeaten teams left.

  • Golden State Valkyries (1-1) def. Washington Mystics (2-1), 76-74: Veronica Burton led four Golden State players in double figures with 22, earning their first-ever WNBA win while handing the Mystics their first loss of the season.
