PUTTING THE LEAGUE ON NOTICE!
Victor Wembanyama had another historic night in the league after putting up 27 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 blocks in the San Antonio Spurs’ 122-99 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday (PHL time) at the Scotiabank Arena.
After a scintillating start by both teams in the first quarter, it was the Spurs who continued making baskets, outscoring the Raptors by 11 points in the second frame.
This continued during the third quarter where San Antonio once again dominated Toronto in the scoring department.
A large part of that was due to Wembanyama’s rim protection as he continued to block the Raptors’ shots left and right.
It was during the 6:36 mark when the 7-foot-4 phenom grabbed his 10th block, becoming only the 45th player in the league--and the fourth rookie--to record such a feat.
The French big man would also go on to have an efficient night from the field, making 10 out of his 14 shots from the field.Number 🔟 https://t.co/6SQ6aWylcj pic.twitter.com/gba9T7XXQW
