Vince Carter's No. 15 jersey will be taking flight to the rafters of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The Brooklyn Nets announced that they will retire Carter’s iconic jersey number on January 25, 2025 in a regular season home game against the Miami Heat.

“Come fly with us,” the Nets posted across all their social media platforms on Friday, September 13 (PH time).
Carter confirmed the special ceremony in a separate video, while paying homage to those who have also worn the Nets jersey such as Jason Kidd and Julius "Dr. J" Erving.

The only player in league history to play 22 seasons or more, Carter was dealt to New Jersey in a blockbuster trade in December 20024 after playing five-and-a-half seasons with the Toronto Raptors.
As a player of the Nets, Carter had his best statistical stretch of his career by averaging 23.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists in over 374 games.
Carter earned three straight All-Star game appearances from 2005-2007 while forming an electrifying and high-flying Big Three with Kidd and Richard Jefferson in New Jersey. The trio led the Nets to three successive playoff berths, including two straight runs in the Eastern Conference semifinals in 2006 and 2007.
He also ranked third in Nets history in total points (8,834) and holds the franchise’s record for career 30-point (90) and 40-point games (17).
In case you didn't know how ridiculous Vince Carter's highlights were with the Nets!
