Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks survive 60 from Steph Curry

Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks survived the Golden State Warriors Sunday (PHL) in overtime, even after Stephen Curry exploded for 60 points, 141-132.

Despite not being an All-Star this season, Young certainly played like one, showing off his skills to lead the Hawks with 35 points, including seven 3-pointers, and six assists.

Onyeka Okongwu stacked 22 points and a season-high 16 rebounds, while Jalen Johnson drew up 21 points and eight assists. Dejounte Murray scored the last seven points in a telling 11-0 run to start the overtime for the Hawks and finished with 19 markers and seven assists.

The aforementioned Curry scored a season-high 60, which is just two short of his career-high. He connected on 10 triples and also added six rebounds. Steph joined Kobe Bryant as the only players in NBA history to record 60+ points in a game at 35 years or older.

Jonathan Kuminga contributed 16 points and Klay Thompson scored 10 for Golden State. Lester Quinones and Brandin Podziemski came off the bench and threw in 17 and 15 points, respectively.

In the fourth quarter, Curry scored 22 points, including a jumper with 14 seconds left to put the Warriors up by two. Murray responded with a jumper from the free-throw line to help send the game to OT. 

With this victory over the Warriors, Atlanta has come up with four straight home wins, matching a season best.
