Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns understood the assignment.
With their season on the line, the Minnesota Timberwolves duo answered the call.
“He [Towns] came through big time. He was the reason we won tonight,” Edwards said of Towns, who had his best game of the Western Conference Finals series yet during the Timberwolves’ 105-100 Game 4 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Towns, who was shooting 28% from the field in the series coming in, was 9-of-13 from the field, including four of five from deep and finished with 25 points before fouling out late.
His three triples in the fourth lifted Minnesota to their first Conference Finals win in 20 years and Edwards has nothing but high praise for his teammate
“Everything came together for him. He was super confident,” Edwards added.
Asked on what his approach was heading to a win-or-go home Game 4, Towns kept it real.
“Being aggressive. They ain’t no time to have any doubts in my mind especially at this time. It’s Game 4, we’re down 3-0. Ain’t no time to have doubts. I’m confident [in] every shot I shoot.”

Indeed, and KAT made sure to return the favor to his teammate.
Edwards recorded a near triple-double of 29 points, 10 rebounds, and nine dimes and had his fair share of clutch baskets late.
“I’m honored to play with my brother [Edwards] here and seeing him everyday, [to] put the work in.”

The Timberwolves are not only fighting Mavericks but also history.
No team in league history came back from a 0-3 deficit in a best-of-seven playoff series, and Minnesota avoided being the 16th team out of 21 to get swept after losing the first three games of a series that started at home. Now they’ll try to be just the fourth to force at least six games.
“We get another chance to get another one,” Towns added.
Game 5 will be on Friday, May 31, 8:30 a.m. LIVE on One Sports, NBA TV Philippines, RPTV, and the Pilipinas Live app.
