The win allowed the Timberwolves to regain the top spot in the Western Conference with a record of 33-14, unseating the Thunder, which drop to third at 32-15.
It was also payback time for the Timberwolves after absorbing two straight losses against the Thunder in their past three meetings.
As expected, the two ball clubs went neck-and-neck across the four quarters. There were 11 lead changes in the fourth frame, but Minnesota finally controlled the pace with two minutes remaining.

Edwards became more aggressive for his squad, bullying his way through the Thunder defense and to take the lead. After that play, Minnesota stayed on top of OKC and kept their main shooting guys on lockdown.
Karl Anthony-Towns helped out in the big win with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. Jaden McDaniels, meanwhile, furnished the Minnesota with 14 markers.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 37 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Jalen Williams followed it up with 20 points, and Josh Giddey contributed 13 for the young OKC core.
This loss snapped the Thunder’s seven-game home winning streak at Paycom Center.
