What went down
We all know what happened during the first-round playoff matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks last season.
Trae Young balled out, dominated the Knicks, and became New York's No. 1 villain. In his first game at MSG since those playoffs, Young reminded the hometown crowd of that horrific experience.
Young dropped 45 points, including seven 3-pointers, and was instrumental late in the game to lead the Hawks to a win over the Knicks on Wednesday. He did get a little help, though, from Bogdan Bogdanovic, who scored a season-high 32 points.
RJ Barrett and Alec Burks combined for 49 points but couldn't will the Knicks to victory. Julius Randle sat the game out due to a sore right quadriceps tendon.
Big-time ballers
Like I mentioned, Trae Young put on a show in his MSG return with 45 markers. He made 52 percent of his field goals and also had eight dimes in the win.
But Giannis Antetokounmpo also had a nice line in the Bucks' rout of the Bulls. In just 29 minutes, he collected 25 points (75% FG), 17 boards, five assists, three blocks, and a steal. Efficient, right?
What he said
Asked during the walk-off interview about the boos from the MSG crowd: Ice Trae said: "I couldn't really hear them, for real."

Did you see that?
Here's a look at the Trae dagger that sealed the win for the Hawks. He crossed up Taj Gibson and made him touch the floor.
