What went down
There was a time when the third quarter featuring the Golden State Warriors meant armageddon for opposing teams. It’s that short window where the Warriors go on an unstoppable, no-turning-back type of run. They go on a scoring attack fit for a montage in a documentary.
They brought it back for the LA Clippers. Maybe it’s a Kawhi Leonard thing, to get him back for 2019 because it looked like the Warriors—in a rare sighting this season—were playing inspired.
Going into the second half down 11, the Warriors turned on the switch. They went on a 42-16 scoring barrage, led by Jordan Poole’s hot shooting.
Poole scored 22 points in the third quarter alone, outscoring the Clips all by himself.

Poole finished with 34 points to carry the Warriors but equally impressive was Jonathan Kuminga, who chipped in 19 points. That’s just bad news for the Clippers.
Worse news for everyone else trying to beat Golden State: Steph Curry is set to make a return really soon.
Big-time ballers
Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving sharing the ball never looked better. The duo combined for 82 points in a win versus the Sixers.
Doncic scored 42 while Irving dropped 40, making the two the first pair of Mavs to score 40 or more in the same game.
Kyle Kuzma is continuing to hold steady for the Wizards, leading the team with 30 points in a win versus the Raptors.
Kuz is the team’s leader in total points this season.

Spurs rookie Jeremy Sochan played big against the Pacers with a 22-point, 13-rebound game. It’s Sochan’s first double-double in his career.
What he said
In case we’re wondering how playing with Kyrie Irving is like:
"He's been great... playing with Kai is so easy."

Here’s a gentle reminder that when Kyrie cooks, he cooks like a master chef:
