Steph Curry breaking Ray Allen's 3-point record will have to wait as the Sixers were all set to stop him and the Warriors.

Scoreboard

Clippers 106, Magic 104

Jazz 123, Wizards 98

Cavaliers 117, Kings 103

Heat 118, Bulls 92

Grizzlies 113, Rockets 106

Nuggets 127, Spurs 112

76ers 102, Warriors 93

What went down

It was sort of ridiculous that there was already a countdown for Steph Curry breaking the all-time 3-pointers made record tonight, when he was still 10 away from Ray Allen's record.

That must have been bulletin board material for the Philadelphia 76ers – a top 10 defensive team – because they made #CurryWatch a comedy.

Steph went 3-for-14 from deep and 30 percent from the floor overall. The Sixers never let Curry have too much space as guys like Matisse Thybulle and Tyrese Maxey made sure the record wouldn’t be broken against them.

The Sixers, now fully healthy, have won four of their last five games and are climbing back to the top of the East with a 14-12 record. The Warriors, on the other hand, are still tied for the best record in the league at 21-4. Maybe Steph breaks the record on Tuesday against the Indiana Pacers.

Big time baller

It's been tough sledding for the Denver Nuggets this season. Luckily, reigning MVP Nikola Jokic has been enough to keep them in the postseason hunt, despite all the injuries.

Against the red-hot San Antonio Spurs, the Serbian center dished out his best game of the season, tallying 35 points on 15-for-24 shooting with 17 rebounds, eight assists, two blocks, and a steal.

It’s going to be tough to make a case for a back-to-back Jokic MVP, but the Nuggets turn into chicken nuggets any time he’s off the floor. Last season was historic for centers like Jokic. He might have an even better statistical season this year.

What he said

Monty Williams is a class act – a true role model within the league. He’s also quite the interview guy. Today during shootaround, Williams had the perfect analogy for watching Javle McGee pull up for a 3-point shot.

Did you see that?

There's a good chance you weren’t up for this but the Los Angeles Clippers and Orlando Magic figured in one of the wildest closing sequences of the season.

Cole Anthony started it, drilling a 3 to tie the game.

The Magic had control for most of the game, but a late run led by Reggie Jackson allowed them to take the lead that Anthony just took away. With Paul George resting, it was only right for Jackson to finish the game.
