What went down
The Houston Rockets left everyone in shock when they defeated the reigning champions Denver Nuggets at Toyota Center today. They actually trailed in the first quarter but Fred VanVleet and Alperen Sengun led the charge and outscored Jokic and the others for their sixth straight victory. The Rockets now hold a 6-3 record.

The Lakers, meanwhile, had to depend on Anthony Davis, while LeBron James was still out. The big guy notched 30 points after this clutch basket versus the Blazers.
AD with the CLUTCH bucket to give him 30 PTS 💪

Kevin Durant and the Suns fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder after another fourth-quarter collapse.
"I think tonight's 4th quarter is different than some of the other 4th quarter struggles we've had. Last 48 hours, put a lot of work into our execution. I felt like our execution was better. Shots just didn't fall."

The teams were exchanging leads and ties but Shai Gilgeous Alexander, Jalen Williams, and Chet Holmgren outpaced the contending team in the last stretch. The three collected 35, 31, and 18 points respectively.
The other games of the day featured the Knicks cruising to an easy win over the Hornets, the Nets holding on to defeat the Wizards, the Grizzlies toppling the Clippers, and the Mavs trampling the Pelicans.
Big-time baller
The biggest baller of the night would be Anthony Edwards.

The Antman went head-to-head with Chef Curry in an intense battle in Golden State. The Timberwolves got the better end of the stick with the win, and they also got this poster dunk as a statement that they prepared for this match. Edwards bounced with no remorse on this one.
What he said
Tyrese Maxey immediately following his career night:

"Man, this had nothing to do with me. This is all Kelly Oubre, man. We praying for him... Love my dawg. I just met him & I love him. I hope he gets well soon."pic.twitter.com/0ZJgJCXnfg
Tyrese Maxey erupted for a career-high 50 points and went down the humble road to redirect the attention to Kelly Oubre, who was recently involved in an accident. Prayers up for the Sixers guard.
Did you see that?
Formula 1 drivers Charles Leclerc and Esteban Ocon have made the trip to Los Angeles to show their support for the Lakers.
Extra Pass
The Sacramento Kings will play host to the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow. Both teams are relatively trading off wins and losses to start their season. However, the Cavs are coming off an impressive win against the Warriors, while the Kings are sort of staging a comeback by winning their last two games.
Both the teams’ superstars, Donovan Mitchell and Domantas Sabonis have been magnificent in the opening weeks. We’ll see tomorrow how they can get the streak going for their franchises.
You can catch the Kings and the Cavaliers live on NBA TV Philippines at 11:00 AM.
