What went down
In a clash between two first-place teams, it was the Nuggets who reigned supreme after making light work of the Bucks, 129-106.
Nikola Jokic submitted another MVP performance with 31 points and 11 rebounds while Jamal Murray was just as lethal with 26 points and nine assists.
As the rest of the West scramble for playoff spots, Denver sits alone at the mountaintop with a 50-24 record.
For Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokounmpo did the heavy lifting with 31 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and four steals. However, the former MVP was only able to score seven points in the decisive second half. The Nuggets outscored the Bucks, 66-40 in the last two quarters.
Despite the loss, the Bucks still pace the East and have the league’s best record at 53-21.
Big-time ballers
The Pelicans secured a much-needed win to solidify their slot in the postseason thanks to the one-two punch of Brandon Ingram and Trey Murphy III. The duo scored 32 apiece to beat the Clippers. Ingram also dished out 13 assists to go along with his point total but it was the incredible shooting from Murphy that jumped the stat sheet. He torched the net and went 10-of-12 from beyond the arc.

What he said
Jaren Jackson Jr. went on NBA TV to talk about his play this season and the Grizzlies’ championship goals, but he also took the time to share his thoughts on this heartwarming jersey exchange between him and his father.
“It was crazy. You can’t write that. … That’ll be remembered forever in our family.”
