Nets 129, Sixers 100
Warriors 113, Nuggets 102
What went down
The much-anticipated tussle between the Sixers and the Nets turned out to be heavily one-sided. In the first meeting between the two teams after their blockbuster trade involving Ben Simmons and James Harden, it was all about the Nets and their 29-point victory.
The Philly crowd was hyped to gang up on Simmons who was on the sidelines wearing street clothes, but the story immediately became the Nets’ strong first half. Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Seth Curry combined for 49 points in the first half as Brooklyn jumped to a 72-51 lead at the break. It was all Nets from then on as the disappointed home crowd went for the exits early.
Durant finished with 25 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists while Irving fired 22 points. Curry, meanwhile, continues to look solid for his new squad as he got 24 points and five steals. For comparison, ex-Nets guard James Harden had a forgettable game against his former team, sputtering just 11 points on 3-for-17 shooting, on top of his six boards and five dimes. Joel Embiid had a double-double of 27 and 12.
Big-time baller
A signature Stephen Curry second-half barrage propelled the Warriors past the Nuggets. He had 34 points, drilled five triples, as well as nine rebounds and three assists.
Curry also notched 20,000 career points, becoming one of 49 players in league history to reach the milestone.

What he said
Nothing’s better than to quiet the opposing crowd on a road game. Kevin Durant has Ben Simmons’ back.
"It was very quiet towards the end. We ain't hear no more Ben Simmons chants from the Sixers fans."@KDTrey5 talked to @StephanieReady after the blowout win in Philly. pic.twitter.com/vshtKTi0KN

Did you see that?
Earlier this week, 10-year-old PJ didn’t get to watch her favorite player. On Friday, Steph Curry and the Warriors made her day.

And oh, the Nuggets did their own thing too.
Remember that girl who was sad that Steph missed the last game against us? Well, the @warriors went all out and got the whole family AWESOME tickets! So, you know we had to do our part and hook them up with some MVP jerseys💙
