What went down

Ja Morant’s triple-double performance paved the way for the Grizzlies’ 127-123 win over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Last year’s Most Improved Player finished with 27 points (10 in the fourth), 10 rebounds, and 14 assists.

The game went down the wire and Morant delivered in the clutch. Down by a single point as time was winding down, Morant got the rebound on his own miss after he was met by the defense of Mitchell Robinson and scored on a putback to give Memphis the lead, 124-123, with 13.9 seconds left. The Knicks failed to score and the Grizzlies iced the game at the line.

Jalen Brunson had 30 points and was backstopped by RJ Barrett who netted 22 points. The Knicks fought back from a 12-point deficit in the fourth but their comeback bid fell short.

Big-time baller

Ivica Zubac had the best game of his young career as he erupted for 31 points and pulled down 29 rebounds in the Clippers’ victory over the Pacers. He was 14-for-17 from the field and collected 12 offensive boards. He also added three assists and three blocks.

Zubac was one rebound away from having a 30-point, 30-rebound game which would have been the fourth time in the league since 1981.

With a 31-29 performance, it’s also safe to say he had a number of Fantasy managers grinning from ear to ear.

What he said

“'I was mad at myself because I wanted to get that 30 and 30 so bad. It hurts. It's definitely not as happy as I should be,” Ivica Zubac said postgame.

A 30-30 game might sound better than a 31-29 outing but Zubac did make some history. The last time a player had 31 points and 29 rebounds, as well as three blocks, was Kareem Abdul-Jabbar back in 1978.

“It's crazy. I always wanted to get a 20/20 game,'' he said. ''It's crazy to be mentioned with Kareem. It's incredible.”

Did you see that?

Giannis Antetokounmpo had a ton of highlights in the Bucks’ impressive win over the Mavericks. He had a coast-to-coast dunk, some solid defensive plays, and more en route to a 30-point effort.

But even a two-time MVP still has time to fool around and show his child-like side:
