Luka Doncic drops another 40-point triple-double in their win against the defending champs.

Scoreboard

Knicks 140, Pistons 110

Mavericks 116, Warriors 113

Clippers 118, Trail Blazers 112

What went down

The Golden State Warriors (11-11) were slowly trying to bounce back from their abysmal start with a three-game winning streak. However, the Dallas Mavericks (10-10) came into the contest and stopped their budding momentum.

Dallas didn’t shy away from scoring and had a strong start in the game. The match wasn’t a wire-to-wire meeting though, since the Warriors put out a strong defensive effort that limited Dallas to only 19 points in the second quarter. Luka Doncic, of course, led the offensive charge in the second half but GSW kept on fighting until the very end to keep the game close all throughout.

Stephen Curry has had a spectacular season so far, putting up MVP numbers for his slumping team. He finished with 32 points, five rebounds, and five assists in the loss. No other Warrior had more than 20 points but Jonathan Kuminga off the bench had a double-double of 14 points and 10 boards.

Luka Doncic posted 41 big points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists, currently leading the league with his fifth triple-double performance. Tim Hardaway and Spencer Dinwiddie helped him out with 22 points and 14 points, respectively.

Big-time ballers

Julius Randle had an impressive outing in their victory over the Detroit Pistons, 140-110, as he tallied 36 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Jalen Brunson, RJ Barrett, and Quentin Grimes scored 16 apiece.

Norman Powell was the star of the night for the Clippers as he led the team with 32 points and four assists against the Portland Trail Blazers. Reggie Jackson had a good night as well with 24 points in 42 minutes of playing time.

What he said
