Luka Doncic put up 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists in the Mavs' win over the Spurs.

Scoreboard

  • Grizzlies 127, Wizards 112
  • Mavericks 115, Spurs 104

What went down

The Dallas Mavericks were making a run, but the San Antonio Spurs were being pesky, as usual.

Holding an eight-point lead with less than two minutes to go in the game, Dallas’ offense stalled. With the shot clock winding down, who else do the Mavs go to?

That's an elite defender in Dejounte Murray who was stumbling against Luka Doncic. The triple iced the game for the Mavericks, who are now winners of 10 of their last 12 outings.

In the first game since the All-Star break, Ja Morant was up to his usual tricks.

So many ball fakes, so many Wizards lost on defense. Morant finished the game with 21 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds, leading the Grizzlies to their 17th win.

Big-time baller

Luka is still only 22 years old, but he's already passing legends on some prestigious lists. Doncic put up 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists, his 33rrd triple-double of his career. That tied him with Boston Celtics legend Bob Cousy for 13th most in NBA history.

Cousy was a pioneer for the NBA, winning six championships with the Celtics in the late β€˜50s to early β€˜60s. Luka will inevitably pass more legends on other lists. Someday, Luka Magic will be the legend of our time.

What he said

Kyle Lowry had recently been involved in several trade rumors. With his contract expiring at the end of the season, the Toronto Raptors point guard had this to say:

The 2019 Raptors will forever hold a special place in basketball lore. Whatever happens in the coming months, Lowry does deserve to have his jersey retired in Toronto.

Did you see that?

Nike just unveiled the new Earned edition uniforms for teams that made the playoffs in 2020. Here are some teams that hit it out of the park with their design.

Toronto RaptorsThe colors are a nice throwback to the 2000s era Raptors. The arrow pointing upwards also makes the jersey. #WeTheNorth is still one of the best campaigns any team has ever started.

Milwaukee BucksThe Bucks made the most out of a minor tweak. Using antlers instead of lines as the decals on the sides gave this jersey incredible character. As if Giannis Antetokounmpo didn't look intimidating enough, imagine him in these coming at you in full speed.

Brooklyn NetsIn the intricate parquetry details make these look so interesting. The lettering and the number design giving off major subway vibes ties this jersey to the borough.

Philadelphia 76ersAside from the Iverson-era black jerseys, the Sixers other most beloved jersey design was their 2017-2018 cream alternates. Bringing that back with the Liberty Bell logo only makes the jersey better.

Denver NuggetsIt’s so unfair to the rest of the league that the Nuggets have all the colors of the rainbow to go to for their aesthetic. The blue, red, and yellow pallet with the simple pickaxe logo make these ones stand out.
