What went down
It’s getting real for the Lakers fans as the Purple and Gold snatched another victory to improve their position in the Play-In.
The Los Angeles Lakers moved two games over .500 and into a tie for seventh with the New Orleans Pelicans in the Western Conference with four games to go. L.A. has won six of its last seven games and owns the tiebreaker over the Pelicans.
Lakers dominated early on in the match with Anthony Davis scoring 27 in the first half en route to his 40-point performance. This was his most impressive outing yet, ever since scoring 55 against the Washington Wizards last December 4. He’s really been feeling it lately as he has scored 38 points or more in three straight games.
LeBron James is making noise once again after putting up 18 points, 10 boards, and 11 dishes to rout the Rockets squad. Laker starter D’Angelo Russell, on the other hand, did not return to play in the second half due to left foot soreness. He finished with only six points in 15 minutes of play.
Rockets head coach Stephen Silas spoke of what went down tonight: “That’s an experienced group over there that really needed the win. And then a bunch of young guys who are trying to figure it out, who fought and tried. Hopefully learned something tonight.”
Alperen Sengun did fight tonight—notching his third straight double-double with18 points and 15 rebounds. Jalen Green scored 24 points while Kevin Porter Jr. chipped in with 20.

What he said
Watch out folks, we got an emerging star in Peyton Watson. He was a difference-maker for the Denver win after logging in eight points, five rebounds, and three monstrous blocks in 20 minutes.

Did you see that?
We certainly got a wild finish from the Golden State-Denver matchup tonight. Hoping to catch up to the Nuggets, Klay Thompson created his own space to throw it at the corner–draining it even from the backboard.
