What went down
LeBron James returned to action as the Los Angeles Lakers stayed in the hunt for the coveted sixth seed of the playoffs after winning against the Indiana Pacers.
The King was back after missing the last six games because of a recurring high ankle sprain and hummed his way to 24 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists in 28 minutes of play. Anthony Davis also suited up after missing the previous game (tight left thigh) and provided a double-double of 28 points and 10 boards.
James was out for six weeks because of his ankle sprain, returned briefly for two games, and sat out again before playing the Pacers. Last season’s Finals MVP hopes to get back to full strength soon so he can lead the defending champions to another title.
The Lakers can clinch the last guaranteed playoff spot in the West with a win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, the last day of the regular season. However, they also have to hope that the Portland Trail Blazers lose to the Denver Nuggets.
Big-time baller
Julius Randle continued his stellar play this season after leading the New York Knicks to another W.
Randle registered a triple-double of 33 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists in an overtime win over the Charlotte Hornets. He shot 12-of-25 from the field, including four treys.
