The Los Angeles Lakers finally put a stop their losing skid, while Russell Westbrook produced a 14-21-24 line on Tuesday (PHT).

Scoreboard

Magic 119, Pistons 112
Wizards 154, Pacers 141
Warriors 123, Pelicans 108
Hawks 123, Trail Blazers 114
Sixers 106, Bulls 94
Knicks 118, Grizzlies 104
Jazz 110, Spurs 99
Lakers 93, Nuggets 89

What went down

In an important game for the Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony Davis showed up with one of his best games of the season.

LeBron James sat out to rest his right ankle, so AD had to do the heavy lifting for the Lakers. He finished with 27 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks, including a clutch one with about 10 seconds left, Lakers up four, that sealed the deal.

AD got help from guys like Alex Caruso (11 points), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (10 points), and Talen Horton-Tucker (10 points), who scored an unexpected clutch bucket in the final minute. Marc Gasol (10 points and seven rebounds) also came through in a matchup against Nikola Jokic.

Jokic (32 points and nine rebounds) didn’t get much help from his teammates aside from Michael Porter Jr. (19 points).

If nothing of the extraordinary happens in the coming weeks, this could’ve been a preview of a first-round playoff matchup.

A complete Lakers versus a complete Nuggets for seven games, who says no?

Big-time baller

Russell Westbrook has been in this Big-time baller space for a couple of times, but we just can’t ignore greatness.

Against the Indiana Pacers, Westbrook scored 14 points, grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds, and dished out a career-high-tying 24 assists

This came after a 42-10-9 game, after a 15-12-11 game, after a...this paragraph can go on forever.

Sum it all up and Russ is in the category of Wilt Chamberlain (only other player in NBA history to record a triple-double with 20-plus rebounds and 20-plus assists) and Oscar Robertson (average a triple-double in a season). That’s just legendary.

What he said

List the top 10 scorers of all-time, don’t miss out Carmelo Anthony. Here’s what he said after achieving the feat:

Did you see that?

One of the best things to happen in the NBA: real-life heroes in jerseys Marvel superheroes in one arena.
