What went down

The Nuggets won their third straight game following a 134-124 victory over the Rockets. Nikola Jokic had a monster line of 32 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds, recording his seventh triple-double of the season.

Michael Porter Jr. also had his best scoring game of the season with 30 points. Fellow star Jamal Murray returned to the lineup after missing the last 11 games due to a hamstring injury and contributed 16 points.

For the Rockets, Jalen Green led the way with 26 points while Alperen Sengun netted 22 points.

It was Denver’s first win against Houston after losing the first two meetings earlier this month.

Big-time baller

D’Angelo Russell had his best game as a Laker since returning to the franchise that drafted him last season. He fired 35 points, missing just four shots from his 17 attempts. He also added nine assists, four rebounds, and two blocks.

D’Lo tapped into his inner Mamba and had himself a night.

What he said

The Magic are on a roll, winning their last eight games. One of the cornerstones of the streak has been their young star, Franz Wagner. The third-year sensation out of Germany is averaging 20.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists through 18 games.

Wagner had a season-high 31 points in Orlando’s latest win over the Wizards. After the game, he talked about what’s been working for him so far.

Did you see that?

Ladies and gentlemen, Jalen Suggs and Cole Anthony:

Extra Pass

Chet Holmgren has been making a lot of buzz in his first season, making the Rookie of the Year race a lot more interesting than just a ready award for Victor Wembanyama. He’s putting up 17.9 points and 8.0 rebounds and has been one of the reasons why the Thunder are 11-6 on the season.

Another must-watch player in Oklahoma is, of course, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who’s one of six players scoring at least 30 points a game.

The Thunder will host the Lakers, who are coming off a dominant win over the struggling Pistons. D’Angelo Russell found his touch with 35 points while Anthony Davis and LeBron James combined for 53 points. It’ll be interesting to see how the Lakers will defend the young and athletic stars of the Thunder.

The Lakers take on the Thunder at 9:00 AM on NBA TV Philippines.
