Jordan Clarkson and Collin Sexton led the Utah Jazz in their close matchup with the still Kawhi-less Los Angeles Clippers.

Scoreboard

Cavaliers 114, Lakers 100

Grizzlies 103, Wizards 97

Raptors 113, Bulls 104

Jazz 110, Clippers 102

What went down

The Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Clippers went neck-and-neck at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night, and the visiting Salt Lake City team came out on top.

The Jazz have been in great form, winning seven out of their first 10 games overall. It definitely looked like they remained hot after outlasting the Lakers in a 130-116 road win last Friday. The Jazz blew a 10-point lead over the Clippers during the first half and even trailed by six points in the third quarter but they managed to bounce back in the last frame through their explosive offense.

Down by four points in the fourth, Jazz scored nine points consecutively, regaining the lead back through Malik Beasley’s 3-pointer. They had a 14-2 run that ultimately gave them a comfortable gap ahead of Los Angeles, 106-98. Sexton chalked up seven points off the bench during that rally.

Paul George and John Wall missed some shots down the stretch, ultimately capping their team’s winning streak to three.

With Leonard out for the 8th consecutive game, it was expected that George is still carrying the bulk of the offense. PG-13 tallied 34 points in the contest, the third consecutive time he had more than 30 points while Marcus Morris helped out with 18 points of his own.

Meanwhile, Jordan Clarkson put up 23 points for the Jazz, followed by Sexton with 22. No wonder the Jazz is at the second spot in the Western rankings if you have these guys consistent on the floor every night.

Big-time ballers

Donovan Mitchell finished with 33 points, five rebounds, and two assists in Cleveland’s win against the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron James had 27 points and seven rebounds but his efforts were not enough for the strong core of his former team.

The Grizzlies came up clutch in their victory over the Wizards. Desmond Bane had an impressive performance of 28 points and three rebounds in 35 minutes, followed by Ja Morant’s 23 points and nine rebounds.

The O.G Raptor Fred VanVleet got a double-double tonight with 30 points and 11 assists that led Toronto past the Bulls, 113-104.

What she said

When asked about her dad’s big outing tonight, Fred VanVleet’s adorable daughter said just the right word for it.

Did you see that?

We love seeing the Lakers Big Three connecting on the floor.

OG Anunoby hammered it down and got the whole crowd standing up including the homie Drake.
