What went down

If you’re having a bad week, just remember that maybe somewhere, somebody is having it worse. In this case, some team. The Detroit Pistons lost yet again, this time to an injury-laden Utah Jazz team that could’ve been beatable.

The Pistons have lost 25 straight games and are on pace to make history–the bad kind–of losing the most consecutive games in one season (26). Their next two games are versus the Brooklyn Nets.

On the other side of good news, the lowly Memphis Grizzlies are getting a bit of daylight in the return of Ja Morant. After taking the W behind a Ja game-winner, the Grizzlies take back-to-back wins to improve their win-loss record to 8-19. It’s still a long way away from play-in territory, but if they could string together a couple of wins, Grizzlies could get back on the playoff track in no time.

Big-time ballers

Another team that’s streaking in a positive direction is the Oklahoma City Thunder, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Against his former team LA Clippers, SGA dropped 31 points for OKC’s third straight win.

Giannis Antetokounmpo won’t let the game ball distract him, as he dominated his way to a Bucks win versus the Magic. Giannis scored a game-high 37 points, adding 10 rebounds, six assists, and two blocks.

After the game, he walked peacefully out the tunnel and into the locker room.

What he said

This is Chet Holmgren doing things someone of his size–and age–probably shouldn’t be doing:

This is Chet admitting it was probably an out-of-body experience:

Did you see that?

Victor Wembanyama just can’t be outdone. Here he is with a nasty no-look, also something he probably shouldn’t be doing at his size:

Extra pass

Jordan Poole will get his shot at his former team when the Washington Wizards face the Golden State Warriors tomorrow. Will he score 40? Will he be shut down? Will the Warriors continue their winning streak? All these will be answered when these two teams tip off at 11:00 AM on NBA League Pass.

On NBA TV Philippines, two exciting Western Conference teams will try to outshoot each other. The Phoenix Suns and the Sacramento Kings are both coming off losses, so expect both teams to come in hot to get that bounce-ack win. The Suns and the Kings game also start at 11:00 AM.
