What went down
Zion Williamson is 20 years old. Jason Tatum is 22 years old. Brandon Ingram is 23 years old. Jaylen Brown is the kuya among these four players at 24 years old.
Let that sink in. These four players are already so ridiculously good, but they have barely scratched the surface of what they can eventually accomplish in the league.
Their talent was on full display when the Boston Celtics tangled with the New Orleans Pelicans, as all four of these stars scored over 25 points. It was actually the duo of the Celtics that looked like world beaters early on, as they helped the Celtics race out and lead by as many as 24 points in the third quarter.
But the Pelicans had seen this before. After all, it was only a few days ago when they were up by 11 points entering the fourth quarter, only to experience a historical collapse and lose by double-digits against the Phoenix Suns. This time, they learned their lesson and they were the ones who stormed back in the final canto.
Tatum tried to be the Celtics’ closer down the stretch, but Williamson hit a tough basket to put the Pelicans up with only a few seconds left in regulation. But Taum was relentless, hitting an incredibly tough floater to send the game into overtime.

The stars continued to trade baskets in the extra period, with the game once again tight in the closing seconds. This time though, the Pelicans had the last laugh. Ingram’s tough triple with 32 seconds left in the game was enough for his team to preserve the win in impressive fashion.
Ingram had a game-high 33 points, while Williamson had 28 points and 10 rebounds. Tatum had 32, while Brown had 25 in the losing effort. But it’s clear that no one came away looking bad after this game.

Big-time baller
Nikola Vucevic continues to be an incredible force in the paint for the Orlando Magic. He finished with 37 points and 12 rebounds to help the Magic defeat the Pistons, the team’s third straight win.
