What went down
The Sacramento Kings (38-26) are on fire right now as they have won six of their seven games after the All-Star break, almost nearing to overtake Memphis for the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.
They nailed another good win tonight at the expense of the Pelicans, as Kevin Huerter finished with 25 points and Domantas Sabonis claimed his eighth triple-double of the season. The Lithuanian-American had 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. He currently leads the NBA with 52 double-doubles.
The two teams reached a deadlock at halftime, 59-59, but it wasn’t long until the Kings’ All-Star caliber players catapulted them in the third quarter to outscore the Pelicans 38-20. There weren’t super remarkable plays that happened during the match but the Kings were just their usual selves as they found the open guys and got the shooters going.
Davion Mitchell replaced Kings star De’Aaron Fox for the night and tallied 15 points and six dishes. Trey Lyles scored 14 markers off the bench.
New Orleans has a totally different story right now as they have lost six of their last seven games. Brandon Ingram sparked most of their offense with his 24 points but the defense on the perimeter was just clearly lacking.
Big-time ballers
Joel Embiid went off for 42 points while James Harden dished 20 dimes as the Sixers came away with the road win against the Pacers. For the second time this season, Embiid scored 40+ points in the same game that Harden had 20 assists. They’re the first pair of teammates to do so in NBA history.

Coach Billups talks about Damian Lillard's 31-PT, 13 REB, 12 AST triple-double from tonight's @trailblazers win. pic.twitter.com/kP7m7ei5Jc
Damian Lillard recorded his third career triple-double by the third quarter against the Detroit Pistons. It looks like just another day at the office for Dame and Coach Billups knows he’s that kind of player who is really hardworking which is why it translates to his scoring output.
Did you see that?
Donovan Mitchell went off for his seventh 40+ point game of the season to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a comeback overtime win. Watch the Spida attack the rim for this impressive put-down.
