What went down

Aside from a couple of close games, it was a day full of blowouts around the association.

The Raptors got 16 fourth quarter points from Fred VanVleet and a clutch steal from Gary Trent Jr. to escape the Orlando Magic. The Kings led for most of the game and had their trio of guards in De'Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, and Davion Mitchell close out the New Orleans Pelicans for another road win.

Both the Kings and Raptors have had their shaky moments this season but are still off to decent 3-2 and 3-3 starts, respectively.

The Los Angeles Lakers, with LeBron James back in the mix, stopped a red-hot Cavaliers squad at home. Los Angeles badly needed this win after blowing a 26-point lead in Oklahoma City the other day.

So far, this season has been must-watch every day. Even on days with several lopsided winners, there were still a lot of solid performances. Toronto’s rookie Scottie Barnes, for one, had another stellar outing, leading the team in scoring with 21 points to go with nine rebounds, two steals, and a block. Not to be outdone, Cleveland’s star rookie Evan Mobley also had a massive 23-point outing on 10-for-16 shooting.

Big-time baller

Jimmy G Buckets lived up to his whole name as Butler did everything for the Miami Heat in a hard-earned win against Charlotte Hornets.

The CEO of Big Head Coffee tallied 32 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block, and a 3. He also shot 12-for-19 from the field and made all seven of his free throws. If you own Butler in a fantasy league, he might have won the week for you in one game.

What he said

Two days ago, LeBron James tweeted this as he was watching Colin Sexton throw down a big dunk in Cleveland’s win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Today, it was safe to say that The King knew Young Bull would go to his left hand.

Did you see that?

Kevin Durant had another ho-hum, ultra-efficient outing in Brooklyn's win over the Indiana Pacers. But he did get T-ed up for throwing the ball into the stands.

If you ask us, he should have also gotten a tech for this nasty ankle-breaker on Torey Craig.
