What went down

A game between the defending champions and a new-look team filled with title aspirations is always a treat to watch. The Warriors and Cavaliers did not disappoint as the two figured in a highly-contested ball game. In the end, Stephen Curry’s 40 points were too much for the Cavs. The veteran marksman was clutch as he gave timely baskets to help his team carve out the win.

Andrew Wiggins added 20 points while Jordan Poole netted 18. For the Cavs, Donovan Mitchell had a near triple-double of 29 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists while Evan Mobley poured in 20 points and 12 boards in a losing effort.

The Warriors may have recently been on a slump, but they’ve now won back-to-back games to improve to 5-7 on the season. As for the Cavs, they’ve lost three straight and now own an 8-4 record.

Big-time baller

Stephen Curry put his imprint against the Cavaliers with a 40-piece. He was 15-for-23 from the field, punctuated by six shots from downtown. He also finished with four rebounds and five assists.

Last season’s Finals MVP was masterful in the fourth quarter as he steered his team to victory. He hit a game-tying triple with a little over a minute left, then gave the Warriors the lead with a fastbreak layup, before delivering another booming triple to create further separation.

What he said

There’s nothing like a team superstar recognizing the role players. Here’s Jayson Tatum giving a shoutout to the hustle and effort of Payton Pritchard who hasn’t seen a lot of action this season. The 24-year-old has played only nine games so far and is averaging just nine minutes. Against the Nuggets, he logged in 16 minutes to score 11 points and grab five rebounds.

Did you see that?

Here’s a positive message from a couple of comedians. Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider visited the Miami Heat and, as expected, brought a lot of laughs. Schneider belted out his signature “You can do it!” line much to the delight of the Heat.
