What went down

The Los Angeles Clippers cut the Philadelphia 76ers’ four-game winning streak to extend their own after today’s match ended at 122-112.

Terance Mann was as efficient as you can get with a season-high 23 points on 10-of-12 shooting. He beat his previous season-high of 21 points six days ago.

Despite not having Joel Embiid on board, the 76ers looked in total control as they surged to a dominant lead to open the game. The Sixers seemed poised to pull away, but the Clippers started heating up with the help of Reggie Jackson.

The Clippers kept the momentum going into the second quarter, creating some distance with a 17-point turnaround. They ended the half with 12 fastbreak points, compared to the 76ers who had none.

LAC continued on with a seven-point run after the halftime break. However, the 76ers fought back with great physicality and a lot of fouls on both ends, slowing down the game. It was the 76ers’ 13 turnovers that helped the Clippers gain more possessions down the stretch.

The Sixers were handicapped even further when Dwight Howard was ejected for the second straight game and Ben Simmons fouled out. Even with the other guys outscoring the Clippers in the fourth, the lead Los Angeles established was far too wide to even make it close, giving them the win.

Kawhi Leonard scored 28, while Paul George had 24. Ivica Zubac also had a great night with seven points and 11 rebounds.

Tobias Harris had a good start with 17 of his 29 points in the first half, but unfortunately for the 76ers, there was not a lot of help from the rest of the crew.

Big-time ballers

Thanasis Antetokounmpo blew up for a career high double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds, along with five assists. He led the Milwaukee Bucks as his brother, Giannis, was unavailable due to a knee injury. The Bucks barely met the required number of players to play (eight), putting Thanasis in the spotlight.

Moses Brown, meanwhile, went on overdrive for the Oklahoma City Thunder tallying 17 points on a perfect 6-for-6 field goal shooting and 19 rebounds. He’s the first player to post 17 points and 19 rebounds in the first half since Shaquille O’Neal in 1998.

What they said

An extremely special all-women and non-binary broadcast team covered the Sacramento Kings and Cleveland Cavaliers game today.

“You wanna have a seat at the table, and at some point, it’s kinda like the Becky Hammons of the coaching world. When it first started, it was like an anomaly but at some point, you don’t want it to be that anymore,” said Kayte Hunter.

While the effort was in celebration of Women’s Month, the broadcasters are always hoping that soon enough, this kind of broadcast coverage won’t be so special anymore.

“[It was really special] just being part of something that I hope will not be so unordinary down the road,” said Krista Blunk.

Did you see that?

Harrison Barnes hit an incredible game-winning shot to extend the Kings’ winning streak. He had a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Tyrese Haliburton couldn’t pass up an opportunity to support his teammate, so he sneaked in the post-game interview and gave his congratulations.
