What went down
With the playoffs slowly coming into view, the race for the top six spots is getting tighter. Let’s zoom in on the Eastern Conference after the Celtics scored a huge win over the Hawks to strengthen their hold of the sixth seed with a 37-27 record. Boston has won 10 of its last 12, leaning heavily on its defense to thwart opponents.
The Hawks led by 17 points in the first half, before the Celtics came alive in the third. Jayson Tatum led the charge for Boston with 33 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists as his wingman Jaylen Brown suffered an ankle sprain in the opening minutes.
Right behind the Celtics are the Raptors with a 34-27 record after they nabbed another win over the Nets. It was the second straight clash between the two squads and even though the score was much closer than Toronto’s 36-point victory yesterday, the Raptors still came away with the win. Things are also looking brighter in Toronto after Scotiabank Arena opened its doors to fans in full capacity for the first time in more than two months.
Who’s going to get the sixth seed in the East, the Celtics or the Raptors? Can the new-look Nets make a run for it?
Big-time baller
Karl-Anthony Towns went to work with 39 points and nine rebounds as the Timberwolves got the win over the spiraling Warriors.
KAT was 14-for-22 from the field, 8-for-11 from the line, and drilled three triples.
The Timberwolves’ road to a playoff ticket might be a tough one, but they are certainly on a roll right now.

Did you see that?
Luka Doncic’s dunks don’t often carry with them an element of surprise, but when it does, it feels like a lightning strike. He threw it down with force and quickness as he came out of nowhere.
💥 OK THEN LUKA!
