What went down

In what was probably the closest thing to a playoff game we've gotten so far this season, the Milwaukee Bucks staved off the Boston Celtics for a momentary hold on the second seed in the East.

The Bucks’ Big 3 of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday became the first trio to finish with 20+ points, 8+ rebounds, 5+ assists, and 2+ steals ever. Milwaukee needed every bit from their three stars as Boston rained 21 3-pointers on them.

Milwaukee (50-30), with two games left, have a 0.5 game lead on Boston (50-31) and a 1.0 game lead on Philadelphia (49-31) for the second seed. Sadly, none of these teams face each other in their final games. Still, even if they’re facing non-playoff opponents, every game will be a must-win for teams wanting homecourt advantage until at least the Eastern Conference semis.

Big-time baller

Anthony Edwards was on fire in what could have been a Play-In preview.

Last year’s Rookie of the Year finished with a career-high 49 points against the San Antonio Spurs with six rebounds and eight assists.

Edwards is going to be a problem in the playoffs.

What he said

He may be a two-time MVP but Giannis Antetokounmpo was no investment wizard. In an article for Bloomberg, Bucks owner Marc Lasry revealed that Antetokounmpo once had his money in 50 different banks.

“I’m like, Giannis, you can’t be having accounts at 50 different banks. Let me tell you something, if JPMorgan goes under, your little dinky banks are going to go under too. Let me explain what you should buy, you should buy U.S. Treasuries, you should buy this,” Lasry told Bloomberg.

Unlike points or chicken nuggets, you can’t have 50 banks split your money.

Did you see that?

It took almost three years but Danny Green got the ring ceremony he wanted.

Green, a member of the 2019 Raptors championship team, could have gotten his ring ceremony in the Orlando bubble in 2020 when he was with the Lakers, in Tampa Bay when the Raptors were forced to hold home games there in 2021, or earlier this season when Toronto was in lockdown.

Green wanted to get his ring in front of Toronto fans. He finally got his wish.
