What went down
After multiple wild deals before the trade deadline, the fans were definitely looking to the games today to see how their favorite holdovers were going to perform.
The highlight game was of course the Milwaukee Bucks-Los Angeles Lakers matchup. With only nine players available to play, the Lakers were no match for the Bucks.
L.A. was depleted not only because of their trades but also because of LeBron James’ absence due to injury, ultimately falling to Milwaukee, 115-106. James sat out the game after surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabar on the all-time scoring list in their previous game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Anthony Davis was aggressive from the jump and gave the Lakers the early lead in the first quarter. Dennis Schroder was also contributing to the scoring effort however, it was too difficult to keep Giannis Antekounmpo away from the rim.
The Bucks got hot in the third quarter and hit open shots. Giannis just kept going and asserted his dominance in the painted area to finally give Milwaukee breathing room.

Trae Young went off for 36 points, including five 3-pointers, and 12 assists as the Atlanta Hawks emerged with the home win versus the Phoenix Suns. Aaron Gordon stepped up for the Nuggets with 37 points and 13 rebounds in the loss to the Magic.
In his first appearance back with the Brooklyn Nets, Spencer Dinwiddie looked right at home as he delivered a game-winning performance with 25 points, five rebounds, six assists, and four steals.
What he said
After dropping another big-time performance, Giannis said he’s keen on winning this season’s All-Star Game:
