The group phase of the Tokyo Olympics men's basketball competition opens on Sunday, July 25 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
Team USA will field a roster featuring NBA stars as well as former gold-medal winners, such as Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets) and Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors). They will play in Group A against France, Iran, and Czech Republic in the initial round of competition.
Joining Durant and Green are Bam Adebayo (Miami Heat), Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), Jerami Grant (Detroit Pistons), Jrue Holiday (Milwaukee Bucks), Keldon Johnson (San Antonio Spurs), Zach Lavine (Chicago Bulls), Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers), Javale McGee (Denver Nuggets), Khris Middleton (Milwaukee Bucks), and Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics).
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich will call the shots for Team USA, with Steve Kerr serving as one of his assistant coaches.
