Jayson Tatum and Kristaps Porzingis led the Boston Celtics in scoring, posting 26 and 25 points respectively, to help hold off a late rally by the Miami Heat, 110-106 Monday (PHL).
Tatum had 26 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists on 11-of-20 shooting. The big man Porzingis racked up nine rebounds and three assists.
Jaylen Brown followed suit and scored 20, while Jrue Holiday tallied 15 for Boston.

The Celtics have won all three matchups with the Heat this season and have won six of the last seven games dating back to the playoffs. The lone loss came in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals last season, when Boston forced the deciding game after losing the first three.

The Miami Heat were shorthanded, as they were without Jimmy Butler due to personal reasons. Terry Rozier was also out after he suffered a right knee injury in the second half.

Despite having bodies down, Miami still fought hard against the top Eastern Conference team with Tyler Herro scoring 24 and Bam Adebayo finishing with 22 points and 13 boards.

Miami was able to cut down a 15-point deficit in the third quarter and even got closer at 106-102 on Herro’s 3-pointer with 1:49 remaining.
Porzingis and Tatum were the heroes of the matchup though, as they converted two free throws to secure the win for the C’s.
