Surging Knicks spoil Barrett, Quickley's return to MSG in dominating win over Raptors

The New York Knicks played spoiler to the return RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley at Madison Square Garden on Sunday (PHL time), scoring a dominant 126-100 win over the Toronto Raptors.

 

Barrett and Quickley received huge applause from Knicks fans upon their return to the Garden, their first since the trade for OG Anunoby before the turn of the new year.

 

 

 

 

But the pleasantries stopped there as the Knicks proved too much for the Raptors. New York continued its impressive run post trade, improving to with Anunoby.

 

 

 

 

Jalen Brunson had another stellar outing for the Knicks with 38 points, nine assists, and five rebounds.

 

 

 

 

Julius Randle also had quite a night, tallying a triple-double of 18 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists. OG finished with 14 points.

 

Aside from the Knicks duo, Precious Achiuwa, who was also part of the trade last month, contributed a huge 18 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

 

With the win, New York maintains the no. 5 spot in the Eastern Conference with a 26-17 record. In contrast, the Raptors find themselves down to 12th with a 16-27 mark.

 

Barrett scored 20 for Toronto, while Quickley went for 12 points and 11 assists.
