Meanwhile, Kobe Bufkin and Ron Holland II impressed at the Thomas and Mack Center with explosive offensive performances for the Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons, respectively.

The 16th pick of the recent draft finished with 10 points, five assists, four rebounds, and three blocks in 24 minutes of play.
- Atlanta Hawks (1-0) def. Miami Heat (0-1), 105-98: Kobe Bufkin erupted for 29 points as the Hawks rallied from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to stun the Heat.
Bufkin was flawless from the free throw line, going a perfect 15-for-15, as Atlanta closed the game with a scorching 28-9 run over the final 5:44 to complete the comeback.

Lawson added six rebounds and four threes as Chicago outscored Toronto, 95-48, in the final three quarters en route to a statement Summer League opener.
- Charlotte Hornets (1-0) def. Utah Jazz (0-1), 111-105: Three Hornets players scored 20 points or more as Charlotte overcame Kyle Filipowski’s 32-point performance to defeat the Jazz.
Liam McNeeley contributed a well-rounded effort with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists, while KJ Simpson and Tidjane Salaun added 21 and 20 points, respectively.
- Boston Celtics (1-0) def. Memphis Grizzlies (0-1), 92-78: Jordan Walsh led a balanced Celtics effort in an impressive Summer League Las Vegas debut against the Grizzlies.
