Buddy Hield gave the Sixers 16 points, going 2-of-2 from beyond the arc and pulling down seven rebounds. Tobias Harris had 11 points and 12 rebounds, while Paul Reed added 13 as Philly won a game with a scoreline straight from the middle of the 2000s.SIXERS: 79

First time in 8 (!) years that a game has ended with both teams below 80 points. Throwback. pic.twitter.com/KGZ4ENZL03
Philadelphia led 37-31 at halftime, the lowest-scoring first half in an NBA game since Portland led Detroit 34-31 on March 30, 2019, a game the Pistons won, 99-90.
The scoring didn't exactly picked up in the second half, but the 76ers got enough contributions to snap their losing streak.
With MVP Joel Embiid still recovering from knee surgery and fellow All-Star Tyrese Maxey missing his fourth straight game because of a concussion, the 76ers were without more than 60 points per game from their usual starters.
Fortunately, they didn't need the extra offense on a night the Knicks shot 32.5% from the field and 22.5% from 3-point range. Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 19 points but shot just 6 for 22. Donte DiVincenzo ended with 15 points, with 6-of-17 shooting. Bojan Bogdanovic came up with 10 points in the loss.
New York was also dealing with injuries, still missing All-Star Julius Randle, along with fellow frontcourt starters OG Anunoby and Mitchell Robinson.
The Knicks committed 21 turnovers that led to 17 Philadelphia points. Hield and Reed combined for Philadelphia's first 12 points in the fourth quarter, with Reed's 3-pointer with 3:32 left giving the 76ers the only double-digit lead of the game at 73-63.
Philadelphia improves to 36-28 and remains at no. 6 in the East. The Knicks, who are now at 37-27, are two spots above at No. 4. The two teams will face each other again on Wednesday.
