Reports: Nets trade DeAndre Jordan to Pistons, center to sign with Lakers after buyout

The Nets will reportedly receive Jahlil Okafor and Sekou Doumbouya, while Pistons land Jordan, 4 second-round picks and cash.

The Brooklyn Nets are trading DeAndre Jordan, four second-round picks and cash considerations to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Jahlil Okafor and Sekou Doumbouya, according to multiple reports.

The Pistons are reportedly planning a buyout on Jordan’s contract, allowing him to become a free agent. The agreement is as follows, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski:

Detroit receives

– DeAndre Jordan
– 2022 second-round pick
– 2024 second-round pick (via Wizards)
– 2025 second-round pick (via Warriors)
– 2027 second-round pick
– $5.78 million

Brooklyn receives

– Jahlil Okafor
– Sekou Doumbouya

Jordan signed a four-year deal during the summer of 2019, averaging around 8 points and 9 rebounds during his two campaigns.

With a buyout expected, the Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly set to sign Jordan, according to multiple reports.

It’s been a busy start to September in Brooklyn, which agreed to sign veterans Paul Millsap and LaMarcus Aldridge, the latter coming out of retirement.

The Nets also waived forward Alize Johnson on Friday.
