A finalist for the NBA's Most Improved Player award in 2020-21, Grant has been the Pistons' leading scorer the last 2 seasons.

Jerami Grant leads the Pistons in points, free-throw attempts per game, field-goal attempts and usage rate.

Detroit Pistons leading scorer Jeremi Grant is out indefinitely after tearing ligaments in his right thumb, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Grant suffered the injury in Saturday’s (PHT) loss to the Pelicans as the thumb was bent backward in an awkward manner. He has been Detroit’s most consistent player for the first two months of the season, averaging 20.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 24 games.

Tests conducted Saturday (PHT) confirmed the extent of the injury, reports Omari Sankofa II of The Detroit Free Press.
