Despite being in foul trouble, Pelle Larsson remained unfazed by the moment.

With the game tied at 118, the rookie caught the ball from the right wing, took his time, and penetrated towards the basket for a tough lay-up over Memphis’ Scottie Pippen Jr.

Cash, money.

Even though it is just the preseason, Larsson proved that he can be a valuable asset if he makes it to the Miami Heat roster for the NBA regular season.

The 23-year-old Swedish took the spotlight and finished with 16 points to lift the Heat past the Grizzlies in overtime, 120-118, in an entertaining conclusion to the NBA 2K25 Summer League.

Josh Christopher led the Heat with 24 points, hitting six 3-pointers and was later named as the Summer League MVP after averaging 19.3 points as Miami finished a perfect 6–0 run en route to the title.

The Heat were trailing pretty much of the game, lagging behind the Grizzlies 87-94 heading to the fourth and found themselves in a seven-point hole at 101-108 with 4:30 seconds left.

Christopher then drilled a clutch triple to make it a single possession game at 109-107 before Kel'el Ware hit two freebies to tie the game at 109-apiece with 2:44 seconds left.

From that point, a thrilling sequence is about to unfold.

Cole Swider swished a clutch triple to break a 110-deadlock and put the Heat ahead for the first time, 113-110, with 20 seconds left.

The Grizzlies would not be denied in the ensuing possession as GG Jackson II responded with a game-tying trey of his own after missing the first attempt, 113-all.

After Alondes Williams was called for an offensive foul, Memphis got a chance to win the game, but Pippen Jr.’s attempt went off and the game went to overtime.

Under Summer League rules, the first team to score seven points in overtime wins.

A fiery exchange saw Christopher drilled a tough step-back jumper only for Jake LaRavia to answer it back to level the score at 118-all that paved the way for Larsson’s heroics.

Meanwhile, LaRavia paced the Grizzlies with 32 points and six rebounds as Pippen Jr. continued a breakout performance during the 11-day showcase with 29 points and 11 assists.

Memphis played the title game without lottery picks Zach Edey and Cam Spencer, who both played well in limited Summer League action.
