The field is set for the inaugural 2025 NBA Rising Stars Invitational.

National University-Nazareth School braces for a tough challenge in a five-day international high school basketball tournament set for June 25-29 in Singapore.

The tournament will gather top boys’ and girls’ high school teams from 11 Asia-Pacific countries, including Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, and host nation Singapore.

NUNS earned the right to represent the country after sweeping the Philippine qualifiers last month in an event graced by San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan.

Australia will field Berwick College and Flinders Christian Community College, while China will be represented by Tsinghua University High School.

Japan will send Fukuoka University Ohori and Kyoto Seika Gakuen Senior High School, while South Korea will be represented by Yongsan High School and Onyang Girls High School.

Other participating nations include India (Nehru World School, Delhi Public School Rajnandgaon), Indonesia (Jubilee School, SMAK Penabur Cirebon), Malaysia (Hin Hua High School), Mongolia (Orkhon Aimag 1st High School, Oyunii Undraa High School), and Thailand (Assumption College Thonburi, Watnoinoppakhun School).

Host nation Singapore will field three teams: Anglo-Chinese Junior College and United World College South East Asia Dover on the boys’ side, along with Hwa Chong Institution in the girls’ division.

The tournament format includes round-robin play from June 25 to 27, followed by single-elimination semifinals and finals on June 28 and 29.

For NUNS, it’s a chance not just to compete, but to showcase Filipino basketball talent on one of the region’s biggest youth stages.
