Dallas played without superstar guard Kyrie Irving for the first time this season due to a right shoulder strain. Besides Irving, PJ Washington (right knee sprain), and Dante Exum (right wrist surgery) also didnβt play in the Mavericks' only visit to Salt Lake this season.
Despite shooting 57% from the field and Doncicβs 18-point first half, the Mavs only managed to take a slim 64-61 lead at the break.
Up next for the Jazz are the Sacramento Kings (7-5) while the Mavericks host Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs (6-6) for their next assignment.
