No Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, no worries for the Golden State Warriors.

Jonathan Kuminga stepped up with a career-high 33 markers, helping the Warriors snap a five-game skid at the expense of the West no. 2 Houston Rockets, 99-93.

Without Curry and Green, Kuminga took the scoring cudgels and also set a new-season high in points top of six rebounds in 32 minutes of play.

Wiggins fired 15 of his 22 points in the opening half for Golden State, who improved to 13-8 with the victory.

Both Curry and Green sat out as the former was dealing with knee issues while a left calf tightness prevented the latter from suiting up.

The two squads will meet anew in Houston next week, but this time in the NBA Cup quarterfinals where a semifinal ticket is on the line.

Alperen Sengun led the way for the Rockets with 16 points while Dillon Brooks added 15 more as Houston (15-8) dropped back-to-back games after winning three straight.

Up next for the Warriors is a home set of back-to-back against the Minnesota Timberwolves (11-10), while the Rockets visit the Clippers (14-10) in downtown Los Angeles.
