On April’ Fools Day, Dorian Finney-Smith and Gabe Vincent were not in the mood to mess around.

Finney-Smith and Vincent combined to score 40 points off the bench and anchored a scrappy104-98 LA Lakers disposal of the Houston Rockets, Tuesday, April 1.

Both players also drilled six triples each, as LeBron James' clutch block on Alperen Sengun in the endgame sealed LA's 29th home win of the season.

Luka Doncic recorded another all-around game of 20 markers, nine dimes, and six rebounds including some dazzling in the opening half.

The win helped LA (46-29) to keep within one game behind the Denver Nuggets (47-28) for the West no. 3 battle. It also led to the Lakers holding a two-game cushion over the Memphis Grizzlies (44-31) for the fourth spot.

Meanwhile, Amen Thompson took the scoring cudgels for the Rockets with 20 points as Houston’s playoff entry will have to wait. Coach Ime Udoka and his wards slipped to 49-27 with the loss.
