At one point, Jamal Murray even outscored the entire Dallas Mavericks starting five at halftime in favor of the Denver Nuggets.

In case anyone forgot, Jamal Murray is still a bucket-getter.

Murray delivered a blistering first-half scoring barrage that ignited a 118-99 Denver Nuggets beatdown of the Dallas Mavericks for a fourth straight win, Wednesday, January 15.

The 27-year-old erupted for 32 points in the first two quarters, firing in all cylinders and finishing with 45 markers. It was just his first 40-point outing in two years.

Nikola Jokic posted another triple-double game with 10 markers, 14 boards, and 10 dimes. The three-time MVP became the fastest player in league history to record 15,000+ points, 7,500+ rebounds and 5,000+ assists by accomplishing the feat in just 709 games.

The Nuggets improved to 24-15 with the victory and won the regular season series over the Mavs for the first time since the 2018-19 season.

Kyrie Irving returned after a five-game absence and ended up with 11 markers as the reigning Western Conference champions dropped their seventh game in the last eight and fell to 22-18.

Dallas goes back on the road to visit the New Orleans Pelicans (9-32) next while Denver returns home to host the West no. 2 Houston Rockets (26-12).
