On the other hand, Jalen Johnson tallied a 15-point double-double to lead the Hawks, who suffered their ninth defeat.
Young was limited to just 12 markers but had 11 dimes with four other Atlanta players dropped 10 points or more.
The Hawks just connected on a 26% clip from deep and had a total of 17 miscues. Despite outrebounding the Warriors, 66-52, they got shredded down inside and lose the paint wars, 40-62.
Both Golden State and Atlanta will stake their identical 2-0 NBA Cup records against the New Orleans Pelicans and the Chicago Bulls respectively.
