Despite big games from LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the Austin Reaves, the league-leading Cleveland Cavaliers still found a way to keep their winning streak alive.

Donovan Mitchell scored 26 points and the Cavaliers put away a gutsy LA Lakers stand for an eighth straight win, 122-110, Wednesday, January 1.

Jarrett Allen muscled his way to a monster 27-point, 14-rebound outing while Darius Garland finished with 14 points and 14 assists for Cleveland, who are yet to lose against a Western Conference team after going 7-0.

Meanwhile, Reaves flirted with triple-double of 35 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds while Davis had a 28-13 statline and James chipped 23 in his first game after turning 40 years old.

LA's newest addition in Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton had a forgettable Lakers debut after a combined eight points.
