Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, and the Boston Celtics finally ended their run of futility against the Denver Nuggets.

Tatum and Porzingis combined for 54 points, powering the defending champions in ending a three-game skid against the Nuggets, 118-106.

Jrue Holiday added 19 more, Jaylen Brown logged 14 markers as Boston pulled away in the fourth for their 27th win of the season. The Celtics (27-10), now winners of four of their last five games, return home to host the streaking Sacramento Kings (18-19).

Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook paced the Nuggets (20-15) with 26 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in a losing effort. Jokic was a late scratch due to an illness while Aaron Gordon missed his sixth straight game due to a calf injury. Up next for Denver are the LA Clippers (20-16).
