The sun finally shone in Philadelphia.

Paul George logged a team-high 30 points as the Sixers hung on to stun the league-leading Cleveland Cavaliers, 132-129, and end a seven-game slide, Saturday, January 25.

Tyrese Maxey provided the much-needed support with 29 markers, while Kelly Oubre posted a double-double outing of 22 points and 13 rebounds before fouling out.

Star big man Joel Embiid missed his 10th straight game and 30th overall of the season due to knee issues. Philadelphia (16-27) connected on 21 threes to beat Cleveland for the first time this season after falling in their first two encounters.

Donovan Mitchell paced the Cavaliers with 37 points while Ty Jerome’s perfect 8-of-8 clip from deep en route to a career-high 33 markers was put to naught.

Cleveland (36-8) returns home to host the Houston Rockets (29-14) while Philadelphia travels to Chicago to battle the Bulls (19-26).
