Obi Toppin drained the game-winning corner triple with 3.2 seconds left in a 132-130 Indiana Pacers road escape over the Timberwolves, snapping Minnesota’s eight-game winning run, Tuesday, March 18.

Toppin finished with a double-double of 34 points and 10 rebounds as the Pacers found a way to win despite losing a 14-point lead. Indiana played without key starters Tyrese Haliburton (lower back soreness), Pascal Siakam (personal reasons), Myles Turner (left hip contusion), and Aaron Nesmith (left ankle), and Benedict Mathurin fouling out in regulation.

The gutsy win helped Indiana improved to 38-29.

Midway through the third frame, Minnesota’s Rudy Gobert was called for a flagrant foul 2 after shoving a driving Andrew Nembard.

In response, Nembard threw the ball towards the French big man and received a second technical foul to get an automatic ejection.

Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards paved the Timberwolves with 38 points as they slid to a 40-30 record.

Minnesota collides with the New Orleans Pelicans (18-50) in a home-and-home set while Indiana returns to their crib for a five-game homestand starting against the Dallas Mavericks (33-36).
